Elder Smith

Luke's in the Provo MTC, preparing to serve in Tahiti. Here's what he emailed recently:

"D. Todd Kristofferson came to devotional this Tuesday and my companion was saying the opening prayer so I got to sit on the stand with him. We were standing for Elder Kristofferson’s entrance and singing If You Could Hie to Kolob. He walked on to the stand and walked straight over to us and as he was walking over I just felt the spirit wash over me and he shook my hand; it was really amazing. I knew without a doubt that he is a man of God. It was really awesome." Luke Smith

Jose in Spain

From time to time we receive "surprise" missionaries - missionaries who arrive on days other than regular transfer days, either because a visa has finally come through or their language skills are such that they have completed all the need to do at the MTC. This week we received Elder Taylor and Elder Estrada (both of the latter category - excellent language skills).

We met them at the train station on Tuesday morning where they arrived on the high speed AVE from Madrid.

We are very excited to have these amazing two new missionaries serving with us!

Welcome

Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto BATTLE against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.
- Deuteronomy 20:3-4
